Rodolphe Husny for Outremont

Rodolphe Husny is once again the Conservative candidate in the federal riding of Outremont.

He will work to ensure the continued economic prosperity and security of our community under the proven leadership of Prime Minister Stephen Harper. His goal is clear: put a stop to the NDP’s tax hikes and expensive and irresponsible tax and spend agenda.

Following the 2011 election, Rodolphe continued to serve Outremont by joining the Ministry of International Trade in Ottawa. For the last four years, he worked to support our small businesses and exporters by opening new markets and opportunities to create jobs in every region of our country, including Outremont.

He has helped organize over 50 trade missions to promote Canadian businesses. He actively participated in the negotiations and conclusion of the historic Canada-European Union trade agreement and the landmark Canada-South Korea trade agreement. He worked to support Canadian businesses boost their exports to China and designed targeted initiatives to support our small businesses so they can take full advantage of Canada’s 44 trade agreements, 39 of which have been concluded under the Harper Government.

A graduate from HEC Montreal, Rodolphe Husny holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and a graduate degree in Public Accounting. Born in Cote-des-Neiges, Rodolphe grew up and studied in Outremont.

Before entering politics, Mr. Husny worked as an accountant and auditor for small and medium enterprises as a Senior Associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Montreal.

Rodolphe is actively involved in his community as a volunteer advisor for Junior Achievement of Quebec and a member of the jury for Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest organized by SAJE Montreal. He contributed to build stronger links between the art and business communities as an executive member and founding patron of the Montreal chapter of Business for the Arts. He has also served as a Board of Director member of Canadian Music Competition and Montreal Bach Festival.

In efforts to foster and support youth involvement in politics, Mr. Husny funded an annual scholarship 5 years ago at HEC Montreal. He was presented with the Leadership Award from the Canadian Society of Multiple Sclerosis.

October 19 is not the time to hike taxes nor trade in a balanced budget for long-term deficits. It's also not the time to cancel income splitting for seniors and families. Only the Conservative government will balance the budget, keep your taxes low while keeping income splitting and the Universal Child Care Benefit.
